The harsh criticism of Dr Angell in her book about the business practices of the pharmaceutical industry has been translated into many languages and awarded, among others, The “Polk Award”, one of the most coveted awards in journalism in the USA. More, it has received wide support from leading newspapers, including the “New York Times.

Dr Angell is now member of Harvard Medical School’s Department of Social Medicine. She is a nationally recognized authority in the field of health policy and medical ethics and an outspoken critic of the health-care system. Time magazine named her one of the twenty-five most influential people in America.
